What does my official Schoolies Hub wristband entitle me to on the Gold Coast?

    An official Schoolies Hub wristband entitles you to access the Schoolies Hub nightly between 7pm and midnight from Saturday 18 – Friday 24 November 2023.

    The Schoolies Hub is a fenced, alcohol and drug-free zone on the beach in Surfers Paradise providing free nightly entertainment. The Schoolies Hub can only be accessed by genuine 2023 Year 12 school leavers wearing an official Schoolies Hub wristband.

    Schoolies Hub wristbands are only valid for Saturday 18 – Friday 24 November 2023.

    Can I purchase a Schoolies Hub wristband?

    No.

    Official Schoolies Hub wristbands are free for genuine Year 12 school leavers attending Schoolies on the Gold Coast.

    You must register prior to Schoolies for your Schoolies Hub wristband and show your registration confirmation email and 2023 Year 12 school photo ID to officials upon wristband collection.

    Where can I collect my official Schoolies Hub wristband?

    For Schoolies on the Gold Coast, you can get your official Schoolies Hub wristband from the Wristband Centre located on the corner of Surfers Paradise Boulevard and Cypress Avenue, Surfers Paradise.

    Opening hours are:

    • 11am to 8pm – Saturday 18 November 2023
    • 6pm to 8pm – Sunday 19 November to Friday 24 November 2023.

    Schoolies Hub wristbands will not be mailed to you – they must be collected in person.

    I can’t make it to Wristband Centre until after 8pm. Is there any other way to get a Schoolies Hub wristband after the Centre closes?

    No. Official Schoolies Hub wristbands are only issued to schoolies during opening hours stated below. You will have to wait until the following night to access the Wristband Centre.

    I need to take my Schoolies Hub wristband off for work. Can I get another one?

    No.

    There are no repeat wristbands.

    Can I collect a Schoolies Hub wristband for my friend/teen?

    No.

    Schoolies Hub wristbands cannot be collected on behalf of someone else.

    All genuine 2023 Year 12 school leavers must register prior to Schoolies for their Schoolies Hub wristband.

    All registered school leavers must bring their wristband registration email and their 2023 Year 12 school photo ID to the Wristband Centre to collect their wristband in person.

    My school ID doesn’t have a photo – how can I get my official Schoolies Hub wristband?

    As well as your high school ID, you will also need to bring your driver’s licence or passport to the Wristband Centre as photographic proof.

    My school ID doesn’t have my year level – how can I get my official Schoolies Hub wristband?

    You will need to ask your school for a letter (on official school letterhead) confirming that you are a 2023 Year 12 school leaver. Make sure you bring both the letter and your school photographic ID to the Wristband Centre.

    I don’t have a Year 12 photo ID at all. Can I still get an official Schoolies Hub wristband?

    No.

    You will need to prove that you are a genuine 2023 Year 12 school leaver. You can do this by bringing your driver’s license, proof of age card or passport with you as well as a letter from your school (on official letterhead) confirming that you are a genuine 2023 Year 12 school leaver. Make sure you bring both the letter and your photographic ID with you to the Wristband Centre.

    If you are unable to provide suitable identification, you will not be able to receive an official Schoolies Hub wristband and you will not be able to access the Schoolies Hub.

    Do I get a Schoolies Hub wristband with my accommodation booking?

    No.

    Schoolies Hub wristbands are not linked to accommodation bookings.

    You do not need to purchase anything. All you need to do is register for your free Schoolies Hub wristband via our wristband registration page.

    Can I use my hotel lanyard to get into the beach party (Schoolies Hub)?

    No.

    I left school before Year 12, but I’m still coming to Schoolies on the Gold Coast. Can I get an official Schoolies Hub wristband?

    No.

    If you left school prior to completing Year 12, the ONLY way you can access an official Schoolies Hub wristband is if you are still studying. For example, you must still be participating in other Australian education pathways e.g. TAFE or a registered apprentice AND you must be able to prove that you would have graduated Year 12 this year.

    You will need to provide a letter signed by your Australian Registered Training Organisation (on company letterhead) stating that you are registered as an apprentice or attending TAFE.

    You will also need your most recent student ID. If you no longer have your ID, you will need a letter from either your previous high school or current Australian Registered Training Organisation confirming, if you had continued your high school education, you would have graduated Year 12 in 2022.

    These items must be brought with you to the Wristband Centre along with your current photo ID.

    I am home-schooled and don’t have a current Year 12 school ID. How can I get a Schoolies Hub wristband?

    If you are home-schooled, you must provide a letter either from your state’s Department of Education and Training (on Government letterhead) or from your Home-schooling network that states you are a current Year 12 school leaver. This letter and an official photographic ID (e.g. drivers licence or passport) must be brought with you to the Wristband Centre.

    I’m only coming to Schoolies for a few days. Can I give my Schoolies Hub wristband to someone else?

    No.

    They are not transferable.

    Every Schoolies Hub wristband includes an ID chip that is unique to you and contains your information.

    Wristbands that have been damaged or tampered with are void. Security will be checking.
