As well as your high school ID card, you will also need to bring your driver’s licence or passport to the Wristband Centre as photographic proof.

My school ID doesn’t have my year level – how can I get my official Safer Schoolies wristband?

I dropped out of school, but I’m still coming to Schoolies on the Gold Coast. Can I get an official Safer Schoolies wristband?

    No.

If you have dropped out of school, the ONLY way you can access an official Safer Schoolies wristband is if you are still studying. For example, you must still be participating in other Australian education pathways e.g. TAFE or a registered apprentice AND you must be able to prove that you would have graduated Year 12 this year.

You will need to provide a letter signed by your Australian Registered Training Organisation (on company letterhead) stating that you are registered as an apprentice or attending TAFE, AND if you had continued your high school education, you would have graduated Year 12 this year. This letter must be brought with you to the Wristband Centre along with your current photo ID.

I am home-schooled and don’t have a current Year 12 school ID. How can I get a Safer Schoolies wristband?

If you are home-schooled, you must provide a letter either from your state’s Department of Education and Training (on Government letterhead) or from your Home-schooling network that states you are a current Year 12 school leaver. This letter and an official photographic ID (e.g. drivers licence or passport) must be brought with you to the Wristband Centre.

I’m only coming to Schoolies for a few days. Can I give my Safer Schoolies wristband to someone else?

    No. They are not transferable.

Every Safer Schoolies wristband includes an ID chip that is unique to you and contains your information.

Wristbands that have been damaged or tampered with are void. Security will be checking.
