The Queensland Government does not promote participation in Schoolies but seeks to enhance the safety and responsible behaviour of school leavers at Safer Schoolies locations.

One of the ways we do this is by preparing school leavers to safely navigate the risks that may arise during end-of-school celebrations through a Safer Schoolies Information Session.

These sessions are presented by professionals who are experienced within the Schoolies environment. The session includes up-to-date information covering a varity of topics including:

  • Welfare, support and expectations
  • Alcohol, drugs and the law including alochol-related violence messages
  • Alcohol, drugs and your health
  • Sexual consent
  • Media and social media - how you can appear online
  • Balcony safety and accommodation tips

Bookings for 2018 Safer Schoolies Information Sessions in South East Queensland high schools are currently open – please email schoolies1@csyw.qld.gov.au to enquire about availability.
