Official Safer Schoolies Education Sessions

The Queensland Government's Safer Schoolies Team offer free, educational safety sessions, aimed at encouraging safe and responsible behaviour of teens as they prepare for Schoolies, and for their lives ahead as young adults.

Booking are now open for 2019 Safer Schoolies sessions.


The official 2019 Safer Schoolies education program delivers key safety messages direct to Year 12 students prior to them partaking in Schoolies celebrations and life beyond.

Topics covered include:

  • risks associated with drugs and alcohol
  • sexual health and consent
  • welfare and emotional health
  • friendships and expectations
  • social media and privacy
  • accommodation tips and responsibilities


A 60 minute session will be delivered at your school by the Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women and a representative from the Queensland Police Service. Sessions are interactive and are available between the following dates:

  • Term 3: Monday 16 September - Friday 20 September; OR
  • Term 4: Monday 7 October - Friday 8 November

Be sure to register your interest early as limited opportunities are available. Please register your preferred time and date via the online booking form by Wednesday 12 June.


The Safer Schoolies team deliver the Safer Schoolies Education Sessions within the South East region and Brisbane Metro areas. If your school is located outside of these areas, we encourage you to visit or resources page where we have provided a full presentation and Educator notes to help you deliver to your Year 12 students.
