Important information for young people planning to celebrate Schoolies in Airlie Beach.

We are working with local community organisations and emergency services in order to ensure on the ground support is provided in line with current health advice and best practises in keeping young people and the community safe.

It is important to remember that there is no ‘organiser’ of Schoolies and no ‘Schoolies Festival’. ‘Schoolies’ occurs whenever and wherever groups of young people choose to gather to celebrate the end of their schooling.

In regard to entertainment, please refer any enquiries to your booking agent or entertainment provider.

Regardless of where or how you choose to celebrate Schoolies, always research where you are going to see if there are any support services in the area.

Safe Night Precinct support services are available in 15 locations across Queensland. These services assist vulnerable people and those at risk of harm due to the influence of alcohol.

Information about Safe Night Precincts can be found on the Safe Nights Precinct Support Services webpage.

Support is available 24/7 from:

We also urge all Year 12 school leavers to closely monitor and follow the advice issued by Queensland Health in the coming months via the Queensland Health website.
