The Queensland Government's Safer Schoolies Team offer free, educational safety sessions, aimed at encouraging safe and responsible behaviour of teens as they prepare for Schoolies, and for their lives ahead as young adults.

Bookings are now open for 2023 Safer Schoolies education sessions in Terms 2, 3 and 4.

The official Safer Schoolies education program delivers key safety messages and important information direct to Year 12 students prior to them partaking in Schoolies celebrations and life beyond.

Topics covered include:

  • risks associated with alcohol and other drugs
  • sexual health and consent
  • welfare, emotional health and wellbeing
  • friendships and expectations
  • rights and responsibilities
  • social media and privacy
  • accommodation safety and what you need to know.

A 60 minute session will be delivered at your school by the Safer Schoolies team. Sessions are interactive and are available throughout the year.

I really appreciate this service. The students listened intently and the message hit the mark. Many thanks.

Elizabeth Pratt | Cannon Hill Anglican College

I just wanted to say thank you for helping to organise the Safer Schoolies presentation. Angela, Karen and Simon did a great job, managing to engage the students for the entirety of the session. I think they gained some valuable information from the presentation, not just for schoolies, but for general life as well.

Paul White | Groves Christian College

It is relevant, engaging and targeted appropriately for the audience. It is also very beneficial to include the input from Qld Police Service personnel. Thank you.

Cheryl Stojanovic | All Hallows' School

I have been booking these sessions for five years. Angela and Nicola are awesome presenters who really engage with the students.
