Schoolies Hub

If you're looking for the best place to celebrate Schoolies, head to the Schoolies Hub on the beach in Surfers Paradise.

The Schoolies Hub is a fenced, alcohol and drug-free entertainment precinct on the Gold Coast that has the best entertainment and beach parties for Schoolies!

To attend, you will need to register for an official Schoolies wristband. Wristbands are free to all legitimate school leavers. Register now to get your Schoolies Wristband!

If you're planning to come to Surfers Paradise outside of the peak Queensland Schoolies period, be aware the Schoolies Hub is not operational during Week 2.

Remember: The Schoolies Hub is only for legitimate Year 12 school leavers – no toolies, droolies or randos allowed.

Accessibility and the Schoolies Hub

All graduating Year 12 students are free to celebrate the end of their schooling in a safe and happy environment and we welcome school leavers requiring different accessibility needs to the Schoolies Hub.

The Schoolies Hub is an inclusive area that recognises the diverse needs of young people and caters for those who are mobility impaired, have other disabilities, or have non-visible disabilities.

We have allocated areas for viewing, disabled toilet facilities, and other support mechanisms in place to make the Schoolies Hub an inclusive environment for everyone to enjoy.

Hidden Disabilities Sunflower

In 2024 we proudly announced our partnership with the Hidden Disability Sunflower Program.

This means many of our staff and volunteers have now been trained to support people with hidden disabilities at the Safer Schoolies Gold Coast Response.

For accessible parking, toilets, beach access and other facilities in Surfers Paradise, see the below resources:

Parking options are available close to the Schoolies Hub entry for eligible patrons.

If you have any other questions about accessibility or to make accessibility arrangements, email Safer Schoolies HQ at saferschoolies@hpw.qld.gov.au and we'll be in contact to discuss your needs directly.
