Staying safe in the Schoolies Hub
If you're celebrating Schoolies on the Gold Coast, it's likely you'll be spending your nights partying at the Schoolies Hub in Surfers Paradise.
Access to the Schoolies Hub requires the official Safer Schoolies wristband, which is only distributed to legitimate Year 12 school leavers.
To get an official Safer Schoolies wristband, you need to pre-register and have a valid Year 12 student ID with photo identification (e.g. QLD driver’s license).
Online registration for 2025 wristbands is available from 14 August 2025.
One thing to remember is to always stick with a trusted friend and don't leave anyone behind.
Hey wait for me!
Also remember to always have your phone fully charged in case you need to call your friends or to call Triple zero in case of an emergency.
Mum, not right now.
I'm waiting at the Surfers Paradise sign because that's my meeting point with my friend.
Hey I'm over here!
Always remember, keep your hands to yourself.
And stay out of the water. Swimming at night can be very dangerous.
If you find that you're in a situation and you can see that it's getting out of hand, always remember to just walk away.
If you need to take medical equipment, like an asthma puffer or an EpiPen, you can register for all of that on our Safer Schoolies website to make sure that you can get into our school is Hub and be safe.
Social media has such a big impact on our lives so be responsible because you never know where your photo or videos are going to end up.
And you don't know what's going to be on the beach or around Surfers Paradise so making sure that you are wearing your protective shoes.
